Akosua Dakoa Dankwa better known as Minister Akosua, is a Ghanaian worship leader based in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Akosua although a professional nurse, is a passionate worshipper. She hails from a very Christian background and was born on March 16th, 1975 to Victoria Birikorang and Raphael Osae. She is the second born out of five siblings. Akosua started her education at Deks Preparatory School and proceeded to the Chemu Secondary School and then to the University of East London in the United Kingdom. She is married to Nathan Abedi Dankwa and they are blessed with two lovely kids,.


Akosua’s worship ministry began when she gave her life to Christ in 1987 and then after was enrolled into the youth wing of the interdenominational organization of Christian women, Aglow International, by her mother. Victoria Osae, had undoubtedly foreseen her daughter’s destiny and hastened to nurture the seeds of God’s calling on Akosua’s life. As a budding and dedicated member of the Teen Aglow choir, she also had the opportunity of encountering and being mentored by two great spiritual matriarchs of Aglow Ghana, Juliana Arslanian and Agnes Baiden. Akosua’s worship ministry from then on metamorphosed greatly when her parents joined the Miracle Life Gospel Centre in Tema, Ghana; she became a member of the church’s lead choir, Pearls of Praise, and was again mentored by very great worshippers as a worship leader.


While a student at the University of East London in the United Kingdom, Akosua, was also an avid member of the Calvary Charismatic Chuch choir and was given the opportunity on countless occasions to lead worship. At Calvary Charismatic Church, she became a part of the team that backed the famous African American gospel musician, Alvin Slaughter during a worship encounter.

The turning point in her worship ministry however occurred when Akosua relocated to the United States of America. She joined the Faith Family Ministries International where for the next ten years she would serve as a worship leader.


‘This is where my worship ministry really grew and blossomed.’
In 2014, by divine providence, she reconnected with one of her spiritual fathers, Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah, the Apostle General of the Royalhouse Chapel International and this left an indelible mark on her.

There was no turning back now, this amazing encounter with the Apostle General had birth a new hunger for true worship in God’s hand maiden. In 2016, Akosua finally joined the RoyalHouse

Breakthrough Centre; this became the final springboard for her which revolutionized her worship ministry. She has since been one success story after another.
‘At Royalhouse Breakthrough Center, I learned a lot that I had not been exposed to in the worship ministry.’ In 2018, she was part of the worship team of the Tehillah Experience, an annual worship event held by Ghanaian gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy.


‘True worship is a conduit of the presence of God and in the presence of God there is absolute transformation. My goal is to ensure that God’s people worship Him as it is written in John 4:23. This is my passion!’

Shekhinah Worship Network

In early 2019, Shekhinah Worship Network was founded based on a passion to create unforgettable worship experiences for those with a desire to have a love encounter with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
The Network organizes one major event every year, the Shekhinah Worship Experience. 2019 will be the first Shekhinah Worship Experience.
