The first batch of nominees for this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has been announced live on TV3 and on social media.
Making a grand entry into the prestigious awards scheme, ‘Aseda’ hitmaker, KobbySalm, for the first time has received a nomination. The urban gospel artiste has been nominated in the ‘Best Gospel Song’ category with his song ‘Jejeli’ featuring Okey Sokey. KobbySalm gets to battle it off with other industry greats including Joe Mettle, Akesse Brempong, Diana Hamilton, Celestine Donkor, MOGMusic, Empress Gifty and Kofi Karikari.
This nomination, undoubtedly comes as no surprise as KobbySalm since 2020 has been at the peak of his career. KobbySalm since his entry into the Ghanaian music scene has amongst other things mounted major platforms, released a debut album and organized a concert that received a massive turnout. He has managed to pull together colleagues in the urban gospel space to win more souls for the Kingdom.
Born Samuel Adjei Darteh on May 14th in Accra (Ghana), KobbySalm studied Communications at the African University College of Communications. As a Christian rap artist, KobbySalm usually loves to explore genres with his rap although his interest mainly is Soul Hip-hop.
KobbySalm is out with a new single ‘Aseda’ and is on all digital platforms and on his YouTube channel.
