Fast rising Urban Gospel artiste, KobbySalm has boldly stated that no matter the height he reaches in his music career, he will always see himself as an upcoming artiste because he believes his genre; Urban Gospel equally deserves much recognition. In answering the question as to whether or not he sees himself as an established or an upcoming artiste, KobbySalm in an interview with JKD on TV XYZ explained that he wants to see the urban gospel genre widely accepted in the country before he can actually call himself an established artiste.

“I actually don’t think I am there.I always see myself as an upcoming artiste and till urban gospel music gets to a level where it has been accepted where I can actually say the genre is there, then the least effort you are going to put in you are going to get recognized. I probably might win Artiste of the Year and might still not feel like a very established artiste not because I’m not getting the recognition but because my genre is not getting the recognition” he stated.

Since 2020, without a doubt, KobbySalm has been on top of his game; from the high school tours, appearances on major platforms, album listening sessions, debut album release to his first major concert in December which has gotten him a nomination as Breakthrough Act Of The Year at this year’s 3music Awards.

KobbySalm is out with a new single titled “ASEDA” which features his colleagues PO Godson, Joe Kay & Belac 360 and is out on all digital platforms and stores.
