Rev. Michael Achaw: A Life of Worship, Leadership and Kingdom Service

Rev. Michael Achaw is a UK-based minister, worship leader, preacher, mentor, and conference speaker, and the Founder and Lead Pastor of Charis Covenant Ministry. His ministry is centred on leading people into the presence of God, teaching His Word, and raising believers who are passionate about advancing the Kingdom. Born in Kumasi, Ghana, Rev. Achaw was introduced to Christian ministry from an early age through his family and church upbringing. At just seven years old, he began playing drums in his father’s church, and by the age of nine, he had learned to play the keyboard. These early experiences laid the foundation for his lifelong passion for worship and ministry. Throughout his journey, he has served in various musical and pastoral leadership roles, including Music Director, Worship Leader, and Music Pastor. His ministry experiences have also brought him into contact with prominent Ghanaian gospel musicians, giving him valuable exposure to both contemporary worship and gospel music ministry. In 2016, Rev. Achaw launched The Worship Experience, an annual worship gathering born out of a desire to see people encounter God through worship. The initiative has since expanded beyond its beginnings in the UK, reaching different nations across Europe, America, and Ghana. He was ordained into ministry in 2023 by his grandfather, Rev. Yaw Owusu Achaw, the founder of Come Preach Christ (CPC). Since then, Rev. Achaw has continued to provide spiritual leadership through Charis Covenant Ministry, with a focus on biblical teaching, authentic worship, discipleship, and transforming communities. In addition to his ministry work, Rev. Achaw is an experienced IT Project Manager with academic and professional qualifications spanning Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Health and Safety, and Project Management. His professional experience has further strengthened his skills in leadership, organisation, strategic planning, and execution. Rev. Michael Achaw is also a devoted husband and father. Through his ministry, worship, leadership, and teaching, he continues to inspire lives and raise a generation committed to knowing God, serving Him, and making a lasting Kingdom impact.
